Sign up for a Library Card

To apply for a Halton Hills Public Library card account, please complete the form below. 
 
To be eligible for a HHPL account you must either live, work, go to school or own property in Halton Hills. 
 
You can also be eligible for a HHPL account if you have a library card from another public library in Halton, Peel or Wellington County.
 
You must visit the Halton Hills Public Library to show identification and pick up your card.
 
Applications can take up to 72 hours to be processed. You will be notified when your card is ready to be picked up.

Email Consent

I hereby consent to my/my child’s e-mail address being used by the Halton Hills Public Library staff for electronic communications regarding materials on hold and overdue, upcoming service changes, free and fee-based programs and special events.

Note: If you choose not to provide consent, you may do so at a later date by notifying Library staff. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by notifying staff.

Agreement

According to the Policy of the Halton Hills Public Library Board: 

This is a lifetime membership, assuming active use of the Library and compliance with Library policy. The privilege of membership may be withdrawn from any person who wilfully or negligently contravenes the rules of the library or who damages library materials or property or who refuses to return or pay for lost or damaged materials borrowed on his/her card.

I agree to abide by the rules of the Halton Hills Public Library Board. I accept responsibility for all materials borrowed on my card and I will report a lost/stolen card or any change in address immediately.

Personal information on this form is collected under the authority of the Public Libraries Act, R.S.O 1990, c. P 44, and is subject to the provisions of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Personal Privacy Act. This information is used for the administration of the library program including the lending and retrieval of materials, the collection of fines and fees, service planning and development.
